Sig 556 / AR-15 interchange questions ?
 

Hey guys, how many parts are interchangeable between a Sig 556 and an Ar-15 ???
Can you swap receivers or what ?

Or is it just the mags that fit both weapons ?

*My question is for mounting an AR-15 compatible upper on my Sig such as a 50-cal conversion from Bohica.

The uppers and lowers are not compatible, just the mags.

Won't work.

Mags and a few other small parts interchange.

Thanks guys..........had an idea but I guess that's scrapped (for now).

They aren't exacly a 'drop in fit' on AR lowers, either.

They should be, but there is very little clearance for the bolt. If the AR lower is a hair out of spec, such that it still runs fine with an AR upper, it may not allow the uppers to work.

That's all 50 uppers, not jsut the Bohicas.
